The 585
The 585 draws its name and spirit from the USS Skipjack (SSN-585), the Navy’s first nuclear submarine built for speed. The Skipjack was a breakthrough in hydrodynamic design—sleek, streamlined, and purpose-built to cut through the depths faster than anything before her. That relentless pursuit of speed is captured in this watch.
Powered by the Seiko VK63 mecha-quartz chronograph movement, the Skipjack combines quartz accuracy with the mechanical feel of a true chronograph, delivering precision timing with a snap-back reset built for action. Every push of the pusher echoes the command for more speed—fast, precise, and unstoppable.
On the caseback, an engraved engine order telegraph reminds the wearer of the moment between command and motion, when “Ahead Flank” meant leaving hesitation behind and pushing the boat with purpose. Just as the Skipjack once set new standards for undersea velocity, this timepiece embodies momentum, power, and forward drive.
The Skipjack Chronograph isn’t just about keeping time—it’s about commanding it.
